Advertising Disclosure
GarageBook is free and funded by advertising. This page describes exactly which ads exist, where they appear, and the controls you have.
1. Who serves the ads
All ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). It is the only third-party SDK in the app. Google may collect device information and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, as described in the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob policies.
2. Ad formats and where they appear
| Format | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Banner | Dashboard, Vehicles, Expenses and Trips lists | Anchored, small; never on sign-in or forms |
| Native | Dashboard, Expenses, Vehicle detail, Trip detail, Reminders ("All" tab) | Cards styled like content, marked as ads |
| Interstitial | After saving a vehicle or a trip | Full-screen, dismissible |
| App-open | When returning to the app | Only after 4+ hours in the background |
| Rewarded | Analytics PDF export; per-vehicle analytics | Always opt-in — you choose to watch |
3. Your controls
- OS-level personalisation: opt out of personalised ads in Android Settings → Google → Ads (delete or reset your advertising ID).
- Ads are never shown when you are signed out.
4. Rewarded gates, plainly
Two features — exporting the analytics PDF and opening a vehicle's detailed analytics — ask you to watch a short rewarded ad first. Nothing plays without your tap, and the planned Remove-Ads subscription will skip these gates when it launches.
5. Remove-Ads subscription status
A ₹499/year "Remove Ads" plan is shown in the app but is not yet purchasable. No in-app payment is processed today. When it launches, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds will be handled by Google Play.
6. This website
This website shows no ads and contains no ad or analytics scripts.
